------- Full transformation NA to Turbo version ME7 ECU -------

Many people want to make the VW golf 1.4 16v turbo or the Seat Ibiza 1.4 8v but the 115Kpa MAP and the EPC lamp create big problems.
With the 115bar MAP you can control timing and injection until 0.6-0.7bar boost, then a bigger MAP is a must.
EPC lamp comes on when the absolute pressure passes 1100hpa over 4000RPM.

Revlimit now has the solution for transforming the whole ECU to a Turbo version adding larger MAP sensors 255Kpa or 300Kpa and recalibrate all the torque model related maps for accepting higher loads.

The boost control will be Manual but in the ECU but in the ECU you can have boost limiter together with EPC lamp!

One big advantage in these ECUs is that they have Absolute MAP sensor and not Boost MAP sensor like 20VT ME7 ECU!

Hi all,
I've been working with HHO catalysts for awhile now and a module that allows "tuning" the MAF/MAP,
IAT, ECT, and O2 sensor inputs...with some experimentation on a '03 matrix I've been able to get some
really good (approaching 80%) increases in mileage in extended mileage runs. But what happens is
that the fuel trims go awry and in a few days the car refuses to start - especially in hotter weather.

I'm wondering if I can "map" a solution to the trim problem and use the software to "set" the change required
to open the better fuel use tables that the module is doing at the moment.

If there's a better place to post I'll be sure to follow that advice too.

Thanks for your advice and interest.

Hi,

Your solution is the totally deactivation of the Long term fuel trims.
That means that lambda controller and ECU will do short term fuel trims, but the Long term will be OFF!

Fotis

Hi Fotis,

Many thanks for the quick reply. It's good to know what I had hoped for
is possible with these tools. I'll look into how to go about accomplishing
this. Is this a simpler task or would I need Swiftec or Winols to map this?
Would you recommend certain tutorials or methods?

A question to the previous -- Is there an eprom made for Toyota? Specifically the 4 cylinder
1.8 litre in the Matrix...I've been told they're not a candidate for ECU mapping.

thanx,
Ihof

Hi,

Actually, this isn't a discussion thread and its subject is Bosch ME7 ECU.

As Revlimit we don't work with Petrol Toyota, but only the the diesels!

I wonder how much is similar between the VAG ME7 and the PSA ME7.4.4 that I am hoping to make work with boost, when I eventually get round to making a start on it....

**** Revlimit hot news ****

Special tuning features are now available for any VAG car which is equipped with Bosch ME7 system

* Multimap switch
You have up to 4 extra programs in the ECU. It can be switched via CC or via brake and gas pedals combination.
e.x Audi S3 2.0TFSi
mapset 1 -> Stock
mapset 2 -> 95oct 320hp
mapset 3 -> 100oct 380hp
mapset 4 -> 100+meth 420hp (or E85)
In the mapsets we can custom tune anything you may like, the above is just an example
The feedback of the selected mapset each time can be done via tachometer or MIL/EPC light blinking

* user adjustable Antilag - Launch Control
- We can set soft Launch Control with ignition cut or hard Launch Control via ignition retard
- The user adjustable option works like this: in 4sec you have to push 2 times the brake pedal and 3 times the clutch pedal, MIL blinks and ECU comes to Launch RPM set-up, push gas pedal to raise the RPM to desired and then push brake to store it.

* Shift light with EPC lamp
We can set the shiftligh blinks independently for each gear, ex:
1st @ 7100
2nd @ 7100
3rd @ 6900
4th @ 6800
...

* Flatshift (known as No Lift to Shift)
We can set it with ignition retard and ignition cut

Promo video coming soon in September!

***** New feature added *****

- Knock warning
We all know block 020 in VCDS which shows timing retard. Now the MIL will warn you that the ECU does high timing retardation by flashing it. There will be 2 stage MIL flashing:
* 1st stage will be at -7 degrees (the MIL blinks 2 times faster than misfire blinking)
* 2nd stage will be at -10 degrees (the MIL blinks too fast)

This is an excellent feature for high performance optimized files and high performance engine!

It is an innovative safety feature in Motronics

*** Revlimit news for Abarth/Fiat TJETs (Bosch ME7.9.10) ***

We just finished and announce the antilag-Launch Control + Flatshift code for the Abarth and FIAT TJET cars.

This is one more innovation of Revlimit and a unique software development for the Bosch ME7.9.10 which is installed in TJETs.
The code is written, compiled and connected to the Bosch code inside the ME7.9.10 ECU

*The Launch Control will be done either via softcut or via hardcut with antilag use (timing retard)
*The FlatShift also will be used via normal shift-cut by cutting the ignition or via antilag-Shift Cut by ignition retard also

-In the next days we will do hard and further testing on the car in order to achieve the excellent calibration of the antilag and FlatShift parameters and release the final version for our clients

- In development is the MapSwitching routing for the Abarht/FIAT TJETs. 4 maps in the ECU switchable via Cruise Control (CC)

Stay tuned,

*** Revlimit news for VAG 1.8T, 2.0TFSi, 2.7T, R32 ***

* Release of ME7 MAFless with functional ESP
* Release of Knock Protection feature
* Release of Lambda Lean Protection feature
* Release of gear dependent boost control controlling directly the WG DC per gear as the most aftermarket EBC

MAFless ESP fix
A well known issue on 1.8T is that when we tune MAFless setups we have the ESP fault which is unsolvable by just mapping as it is a can-BUS problem! We found the solution via minor changes in Bosch code and total delectation this!

KNOCK PROTECTION
The Knock Protection feature will limit the Throttle's opening angle to 25% for a 10sec period, each time that the ECU will monitor 10deg advance timing retard via the knock control
(the knock control timing retard can be monitored with VCDS logger in Measuring Block 020 (MB020))
There will be also a secondary Knock Warning feature that will warn the driver, via MIL blinking, that the ECU timing retard is higher than normal levels
Knock Warning active when timing retard >= 9deg
Knock Protection active when timing retard >= 11deg

LAMBDA LEAN PROTECTION
The Lambda Lean Protection feature will limit the Throttle's opening angle to 25% for a 10sec period, each time that the ECU will monitor a lambda positive deviation of 0.04 (requested lambda 0.82 - actual lambda 0.86) for a period of more than 2.5sec

The protection (lambda lean or Knock) notification in dashboard will be done via a special blinking of MIL
